I love all of the fun reading and writing projects I get to do with Mrs. Schlechte! She makes learning fun. I love when I hear, "Mrs. Schlechte's kids!!" during class because that means it's time to go do challenging work on my level with my friends!

When Grady and I sat down to brainstorm a person "Who Matters" at South Knoll, we both thought of Jesus. Jesus has been a custodian at South Knoll for the entirety of my 3 children's elementary years. Jesus always displays a happy and positive attitude. When we ask him how he is doing his response is often, "It's a good day when you know God." He is a hard worker and is committed to doing a good job. Without Jesus, South Knoll would not be able to operate as well as it does. We appreciate him and all his efforts towards helping South Knoll stay clean and inviting. You DO matter Jesus, and we appreciate you!

Ms. Osth teaches hands on/inquisitive science lessons. She created an engaging way to encourage her students to learn their math multiplication facts. My son learns something new everyday in her class!

If anyone asks me who matters to me, it is definitely Mrs. Carter. Without her, we wouldn't have a school play, or win an award from FLL Jr. I'm so excited to go to her class because she gives us choices there. And I really miss it when she's testing.

Mrs. Herbelin always has a smile and encouragement for me and my children. Plus, she is a wonderful artist and exposes the children to a variety of forms of art. You can tell that she loves her subject and is helping the children love it as well.

Someone who matters to me very much is Mrs. Rodriguez. She is very kind to me and everyone else in her class. She lets us have flexibility and that is important because I work better when I can sit wherever I want. But the most significant thing she did, was to allow Comix Club to be created by my friend and I. Comix Club really matters because I really like drawing and now I can have an hour of drawing with my school friends.

Mrs. Dyson has gone above and beyond in making sure every child is cared for in a way that they need. When South Knoll began doing Character Club this semester we saw a huge change in our son, mark. He has become the most kind, thoughtful, and happy kid and I know it's because of all the work Miss Dyson has done.
Nominated by Cade Herbelin

Mrs. Taylor was always cheerful and encouraging to my children and gave them a hug and a smile whenever we saw her around town. She took the time to write positive notes about my child and even offered to help me when I needed carpool help after school. She is a very special teacher!

Mr. Jesus matters to me at South Knoll because he takes care of our facilities with a smile on his face. I interact with Mr. Jesus mostly in the cafeteria as he faithfully, day after day, cleans up tables and floors after each class eats so that the next class can enjoy a clean area in which to eat lunch. While there are so many wonderful teachers and staff at South Knoll, Mr. Jesus matters to me because what he does is done so often behind the scenes, without recognition or thanks, but so critical to having a clean and safe environment for children to learn and enjoy school.
Teachers are super awesome and amazing... they were just so super sweet and super kind, and super loving to all of us... It's just an amazing school and I loved it so much.
